I moved schools thirteen times and in all of them I was the only Denis.

(What are the chances of that? - I guess it must be a generation thing)

However there are at least two other people I have come across that have the name Denis O'Regan - so I thought it might be useful to my friends and strangers to point out that I didn't ride in the Grand National nor was I the official photographer for Thin Lizzy in the 1980s.

Another Denis O'Regan was my Grandfather born in Dungarvan, Ireland - He served in the Irish Guards.

Also Denis O'Regan son of my Great Aunt Kathleen (Dungarvan) emigrated to Australia and like me was a musician (flautist).  Sadly he died out on Oz in his fifties.  Kathleen was married to my grandfather's brother Paddy.
